Ginger Somogie Morris - Dance and Fitness

Ginger Somogie Morris is a certified dance and fitness instructor who has taught classes in New York State to children ages 2 through senior citizens for nearly thirty years. Ms. Ginger has personally studied classical ballet techniques, pointe technique, tap, modern, theatrical jazz, ballroom and Latin dance, pilates, yoga, country line dance under masters such as to name a few but not limited to Dorothy Buck Snyder from Jeffrey Ballet, Maureen Abazzia, Royal Academy of Dance, Irene Lander, American Ballet Theater, and Leon Fokine, International Ballet Master and the Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance School, (with Arthur Murray himself). She was accepted into the School of the American Ballet summer program, the official school of New York City Ballet. Ms. Ginger was a member of The Connecticut Ballet Company where she performed numerous soloist rolls in "The Nutcracker", "Coppelia", "The Jewel Ballet" and "The Masquerade Suite".

Ms. Ginger also trained and studied with good friend and former classmate Tony Horton, creator of the popular P90X fitness program for Beachbody. As an Independent Beachbody Coach I am driven to live my dream as an advocate to address the obesity problem for our children and their future.

Ms. Ginger has produced, directed and choreographed her own rendition of "The Nutcracker" performed by her own Malta Ballet Company at The Empire Center at The Egg for eighteen seasons with principals and soloists from NYCB, ABT and Royal Ballet. She also was the director and host school for the children and teen division in the Capital Region for The Moscow Ballet's production of "The Great Russian Nutcracker" for three seasons.

Ms. Ginger is a healthy eight year breast cancer survivor, mother of two and most recently a proud grandmother and staying healthy and fit is essential for her to spend quality time with her family. She has been developing a fitness regimen for cancer survivors to help them remain strong before, during and after cancer treatments.

Ms. Ginger continues to be very dedicated to using her passion for teaching dance and fitness to help others maintain their own personal health and wellness.
