 Josh Meliski - Hip Hop
Josh began formally training in modern and ballet when he was eleven years old; Through this he found his passion... Hip Hop. Although he stuck with modern as his main artistic outlet, it became apparent that breaking was his true calling. Attending weekly modern and ballet classes in New Paltz provided him with a sense of physical awareness and opportunities such as NYSSSA Modern, which entails a rigorous month-long program full of all sorts of interesting mentors and classes.
There, Josh realized that, despite his talent for modern dance, it was not what he wanted to pursue. So, with the formal dance training background behind him, Josh flipped spun and danced his way to his first battle in Boston where he realized what he was getting into. There he witnessed BBoys and BGirls all participating in something called Hip Hop. It didn't take long before he decided to commit his entire life to improving himself as an artist and a hip hop instructor |
