KIM McALPINE KIM McALPINE - Tap & Creative Movement

Kim began dancing at age 6 studying ballet, tap and jazz locally with Ginger Benack Spring while developing a passion for the rhythms of tap dance, in particular.

While attending the College of St. Rose for Studio Art & Communications, Kim continued to dance, studying with Maude Baum and Company in Albany, and taking various master dance classes, eventually teaching tap and ballet classes upon finishing college.

Kim is Managing Director at the Ballet Center, has been heading our tap program since 1994, and teaches Creative Movement as well. During the summers Kim instructs dance for Queensbury Parks and Recreation Department and Adirondack Community College's Summer Enrichment Program.

Kim is currently studying Irish and Ballroom Dance and continues to participate in various Master Dance classes. Additionally, she is a Freelance Graphic Artist and a member of the local SPCA
